Between the Blooms and the Sea

This is a mixed media painting exploring the instinct to return home. Floating between ocean blues, wild florals, and fragmented honeycomb forms, this bee becomes both the traveller and the guide, suspended in a dreamlike landscape that feels both grounded and untethered.

Layered textures, spray work, drips, and gestural mark-making mirror the emotional complexity of a journey home.

This piece uses bright electric blues contrast against deep blacks and soft lavender tones, creating a balance between chaos and calm, movement and stillness.
